We are definitely in a season of busyness.
Whether it’s keeping up with projects around the house, family events, visitors coming and going, or traveling, this season feels full in every sense of the word. The to-do list never seems to get shorter, but somehow the days keep moving forward and we do our best to keep up.
It’s the kind of busy that can leave you exhausted by the end of the day, but also deeply thankful.
The Potting Table Is Finally Complete
One of the highlights this week was my husband finishing my potting table by hooking up the water, and I am in LOVE with it.
It turned out so beautiful and functional, which is exactly what every gardener dreams of. Having a dedicated space for planting, potting, and washing up fresh garden harvests makes me so happy!
And the best part? The cast iron sink was a yard sale find for one dollar.
Yes… one dollar.
Can you believe it? Around here we call that a homestead win.
I can’t wait to spend time out there with dirt under my nails and plants all around me.

Garlic Scape Harvest Time
This week we also harvested all of our garlic scapes.
If you grow hardneck garlic, you know this little early summer harvest is such a treat. Garlic scapes are one of those seasonal things that feel like a bonus crop; fresh, flavorful, and full of possibilities.
Stay tuned because I’ll be sharing some recipes soon for how we use them around here.
Our favorite? Garlic scape butter.
It’s simple, delicious, and honestly makes just about everything taste better.

The Boy Is Back Home
Our oldest is officially moved home from college, and having him back under our roof has been such a blessing.
There’s nothing better than having all your kids under one roof again, even if it’s just for a season.
This week, we’ve also been hosting two of his best buddies who came to visit. The house has been extra full with more laundry, more food, more noise, but also more laughter.
That’s the kind of full I’ll take any day.

Looking Ahead to a Weekend of Sunshine
We have a fun weekend ahead filled with family, friends, and plenty of sunshine.
After such a busy stretch, it feels good to have something simple and joyful to look forward to. Sometimes the best kind of rest isn’t found in slowing down completely, but in spending time with the people you love most.
That kind of time fills you back up.
In This Season
Life feels busy right now. The house is full. The projects keep coming. The garden is growing. The calendar stays packed.
But in the middle of all the busyness, there’s so much goodness.
God has been faithful in every season—even the chaotic ones.
And while we may be tired, we’re thankful.
Thankful for family around the table, food growing in the garden, projects getting finished, and the little blessings that remind us God is in the details too.
“For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.” — Romans 11:36
Until next week, we’ll keep planting, harvesting, hosting, and trusting Him through it all.
From our homestead to yours,
Eliza
